Tanda Tula is one of our favorite camps in private Timbavati Game Reserve in the grater Kruger Park area. The charming camp owners are on site making guests feel right at home. The tented camp style, while pretty rare in these parts, is presented elegantly and makes for a nice contrast to nearby lodges.
Tanda Tula Safari Camp is located in the heart of the Timbavati Private Nature Reserve, forming part of the Greater Kruger National Park. As one of South Africa's most luxurious East African-styled tented camps, guests have an unforgettable experience in game viewing, warm hospitality and award-winning cuisine.
Set on the banks of the Nlharalumi riverbed, Tanda Tula is shaded by majestic trees and overlooks a watering hole that attracts wildlife from dawn till dusk. Each of the 12 tents is completely private and each has its own private deck with loungers or deck chairs. The interiors are furnished in great elegance and comfort. All the tents have beautiful en-suite bathrooms with traditional Victorian bathtubs and romantic outdoor showers overlooking the bush and riverbed. There is a private, open air therapy hide at the edge of the watering hole which provides guests with a variety of treatments. The infinity pool overlooks a large watering hole, often frequented by elephant and buffalo. The bar and lounge are always open, and will gladly bring you your favorite drink.
Tanda Tula is sanctuary to Africa's Big Five, traversing over more than 20,000 hectares of wilderness and undisturbed biodiversity. Guests are guaranteed an incredible wildlife experience. Highly skilled ranger teams guide guests in the early mornings and evenings, in open Land Rovers or on foot.
