Soleil des Tsingy

Tsingy de Bemaraha, Madagascar

Mango Opinion

This is an incredibly beautiful site but hard to access. Either you need to fly with the national airline and then you have ten hours of driving on a poor road or you can arrive with a private charter plane landing just outside the park. The guest feedback from this hotel is excellent!

Nestled at the heart of a well-preserved nature, the Soleil des Tsingy Hotel is the ideal base for an extraordinary stay in the Tsingy of Bemaraha. Built to compliment the natural beauty, the hotel provides guest with views of Madagascar’s natural diversity and its numerous species of lemurs, oddly shaped baobabs and the Tsingy massif, a unique natural monument.

The stylish lodge and its 17 spacious bungalows are constructed with wooden decks and beams which hold up thatched roofs and metal grates. The bungalows are spacious and tastefully decorated with local Malagasy craft and include a private bathroom and terrace, quality beds, ceiling fans, mosquito nets and room safes. A large infinity pool overlooks tremendous views. Enjoy a wide variety of tasty foods at the restaurant. The chief picks organic vegetables, fruits and aromatic plants from the onsite garden.

The Tsingy of Bemaraha, a virtual forest of 50 meter high limestone peaks is classified as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Explore this area with eroded karst limestone massif with sunken forests, sharp pinnacles and narrow canyons; crossing high roped-bridges and meandering through pockets of dry deciduous forest. The Tsingy shelters a startling array of wildlife: 11 species of lemur (including Verreaux and Decken’s sifaka and the red-fronted brown lemurs), 103 species of terrestrial and aquatic birds, 15 species of bats, 22 species of amphibians and a variety of reptiles.
