Lower Zambezi National Park, Zambia

Gold price level

Mango Opinion

Anabezi is a lovely high specification camp located in a very private corner away from most other lodges in the active and fun Lower Zambezi National Park in Zambia. This area is really only available during high season - June - November but great when its on! The family run nature offers guests an intimate and local feel.

The name Anabezi is derived from the camp being situated on the Zambezi River and the many Ana Trees or Winter Thorns (Faidherbia albida) that surround the camp. Their winter thorns drop corn yellow pods which attract a wide variety of animals to the area including many elephants, a welcome sight in the camp. Located at the site of the old Ana Tree Lodge, Anabezi tented camp has been been built on the foundations of a historical camp which has stood the test of time.  The new lodge is a testiment to the history of the area and a homage to its uniquely breathtaking landscape. Blending absolute luxury with complete rustic authenticity, Anabezi is the definition of an African Safari.

Anabezi Camp comprises of 11 luxury spacious tents on raised timber platforms at the edge of a ridge providing magnificent views of both the Zambezi River and Mushika River flood plain. The plain hosts year-round grazing and offers spectacular diverse game viewing from the comfort of your tent!  Each tent has an indoor and outdoor bathroom, a spacious sitting area, two teak double beds, or one king sized bed within a well designed four-poster mosquito net, a private deck and a plunge pool set into the deck overlloking the wonders of the Zambezi.

During your stay at Anabezi there are plenty of excursions, adventures and sights to behold to keep you occupied when you're not lounging by the pool or enjoying the camps amenities.
