Situated on the western side of Chobe National Park, Muchenje is the only lodge in this area and offers unique prolific game experiences. Muchenje offers 10 private thatched cottages and a larger family cottage, each being beautifully appointed with en-suite facilities, are sited on the escarpment edge, all with their own balcony and unique view. Each chalet is exquisitely furnished and great care has been taken to create a true African ambiance. There are wonderful views over the Chobe River from the main lodge and all of the luxurious cottages. Being owner run, Muchenje Safari Lodge allows for a more personalized service and homely atmosphere. With experienced managers and guides looking after you every step of the way. The main lodge has an extensive lounge, bar and dining area overlooking the Chobe River and our waterhole. The swimming pool is open throughout the year. It has views over the flood plain

Our safari activities are planned carefully to coincide with when you are most likely to see wildlife. This means early morning activities such as game drives or guided bush walks, late afternoon game drives as the temperatures start dropping and even night game drives after dinner to see who is moving around the reserve once the sun has disappeared. You are sure to enjoy a Chobe River boat cruise where you will experience game viewing on the Chobe, drift noiselessly past a bathing herd of elephants or enter the hippos' world of crocodiles and amazing bird life.
