This is one of our absolute favorites in Cape Town. The property offers a pampered retreat vibe while not being too far from the city action. From the aromatherapy bath products to the incredibly soft sheets - Kensington does it all well. This property is not on the water, so travelers who really want sea views from their terraces should look elsewhere.
Kensington Place is a stylish luxury boutique hotel that's nestled on the slopes of the beautiful and iconic Table Mountain. The lively city, its busy harbor and the spectacular surrounding mountains are all visible from each guestroom's private terrace. Lush quiet gardens and an intimate pool surround the property. The interiors have an unmistakable contemporary feel with eclectic African touches throughout. You can be pampered with breakfast in bed, or a private meal on your terrace or overlooking the gardens at any time.
The hotel's eight luxurious rooms boast marble baths, private terraces, exquisite fabrics and original artworks from mostly South African artists. Each room is equipped with a docking station, LCD flat screen TV, safe, air conditioner and fan. A fresh, modern aesthetic in the indoor and outdoor lounges give plenty of places to relax and enjoy a glass of exquistie South African wine from the bar.
There are many things to see during your visit to Africa's most cosmopolitan city. Tours of the Cape Peninsula, Robben Island, winelands, whale watching, helicopter charters and deep sea fishing are just a few of the interesting options available.
