The Bay Hotel

Cape Town, South Africa

Gold price level

Mango Opinion

This property has it for location, especially in the summer months. Of course, they charge for it! But, you can walk out of the entrance gates and are at the beach. This property has expansive recreation options from multiple swimming pools, tennis and squash to a lovely gym. If you are going to stay here, it is worth the extra money for a sea view room.

Built in 1989 and perfectly positioned between the majestic backdrop of the Twelve Apostles and the white sands of Camps Bay Beach, The Bay was the first beachfront hotel in Cape Town - a status that it still holds today. The Bay has 5-star elegance and sophistication with a relaxed atmosphere.

Every one of the 72 bedrooms and 6 suites gaze upon the spectacular Camps Bay. Most rooms have spacious balconies and all have en-suite bathrooms, modern amenities and either twin or king size beds. Tides Restaurant embodies elegant, intimate and relaxed dining in a breathtaking location. Selected as the best restaurant in Cape Town by Wine Magazines Top 100 Restaurants and as one of the top ten restaurants in South Africa by Eat Out Magazine, Tides sets the mood for an unforgettable fine dining experience.

There are many things to see during your visit to Africas most cosmopolitan city. Tours of the Cape Peninsula, Robben Island, whale watching, helicopter charters and deep sea fishing are a few of the interesting options available. We will give you a list of Mangos favorite restaurants including The Africa Cafe. There you can enjoy a communal-style African feast that includes over 19 dishes from nearby African countries.
