Serengeti Safari Camp - North

This luxury tented camp pioneered the first of its kind as a mobile “migration chasing” Serengeti camp. The tented camp roams around the vast grass plains of Tanzania shadowing the thundering herds of wildebeest and zebras. Nomad Safari Guides study where the concentrations of animals will be at that time of year and place the camp in the best available location to access the action.

You will enjoy luxury mobile camping in the heart of the park's beautiful wilderness. The tents are welcoming, light and simple, but fully equipped to ensure comfort. The bathrooms are en-suite, with traditional safari style bucket showers, eco-flush toilets, and hot and cold water on demand. Despite being remote, the camp is comfortable with attentive service.

Between August and November the camp follows the migration which reaches its northern range of the Serengeti. Within the northern Serengeti lies the grasslands on either bank of the crocodile-infested Mara River, which the herds must cross not once, but twice, as they complete their migration. The herds remain in this area until mid-December before they can usually be found heading south again. As well as the herds that make up the migration, there are also lots of cats, as well elephants, buffalo, impala, giraffe and many other species of plains game. Game drives and walks in the company of the Masai are at your leisure.
