Chobe Game Lodge is the only permanent lodge located within the Chobe National Park. While large in size, the location affords you the first access into the park so you will have thirty minutes to an hour before you start to see the other lodge's vehicles in the park.
The Lodge can accommodate up to 100 people in total luxury and caters to children of all ages.
Chobe Game Lodge is situated on the Chobe River in the northeastern corner of Botswana's Chobe National Park. This 48-room lodge overlooks the Chobe River and Caprivi floodplains. The architecture is Moorish with graceful high arches, barrel-vaulted ceilings and tiled floors. Chobe Game Lodge has four luxury suites, each with a private plunge pool. Facilities include a swimming pool, curio shop, wildlife library, spa, and a Tshwene bar with full-sized Victorian pool tables. The Chobe Game Lodge's boma (outdoor eating area enclosed by reed walls) is situated under large mahogany trees on the banks of the Chobe River. Meals are catered at the terrace restaurant overlooking the Chobe River.
Chobe Game Lodge game drives are conducted in open-sided 4x4 vehicles ensuring maximum visibility. Cruises on small boats or aboard the Mosi-oa-Tunya afford spectacular wildlife viewing and enable you to experience unforgettable African sunsets. Chobe Game Lodge, with its ecotourism focus, is the first of its kind to have a small fleet of electric vehicles and an electric boat - perfect for a clean, quiet safari.
Chobe is home to the largest concentration of elephant in Africa and during the dry season the herds congregate along the fertile flood plains of the Chobe River. Large herds of buffalo also concentrate on the floodplains during the dry season. Other major species such as lion, wild dog, puku, red lechwe, and Sable and Roan Antelope are encountered.
