We’re best known for creating journeys that celebrate all that makes Africa extraordinary: from wild spaces and iconic wildlife to vibrant cultures, thriving food and art scenes; and its significance as the birthplace of humankind. At the core of it all is conservation: we believe in travel that protects ecosystems, supports communities, and keeps Africa’s magic alive for generations to come.
More Mangos on the tree
As Mango grew, so did the team. Together, we are a small group of explorers, united by curiosity and the joy of sharing Africa with our guests and friends from all over the world.

ABOUT:
My parents gifted me a lifelong love of travel and a deep urge to explore far-flung, culturally-rich places. For me, there’s nothing more rewarding than helping guests and friends from around the world to experience Africa’s magic – meeting its remarkable people and returning home changed for the better.
CHERISHED MEMORY:
On my first journey into Africa, heavy rains made the Ugandan roads impassable, forcing us to pull over and pitch camp on the front lawn of a small rural church. By dusk, an audience had gathered – 30 or so locals standing with that mix of curiosity and warmth you instantly feel in East Africa. Children giggled. Drums appeared. Someone brought out a handmade instrument. And before long, dinner on gas burners gave way to music and a swirl of dancing under the night sky. A simple stopover became a reminder of how generously this continent welcomes all.

ABOUT:
I grew up camping and exploring North America’s national parks with my family. My parents loved to have fun and stretch our view of the world. One winter night, while staying in Banff Hot Springs, snow was falling outside and my dad told me to put on my swimsuit. I thought he was joking but soon we were soaking in the hot springs: steam rising, breath visible, stars glittering above us. Early moments like this formed my sense of curiosity. Today, I feel incredibly lucky to share Africa and its constant awe and delight with my children, friends and clients.
CHERISHED MEMORY:
One evening, camped beside a watering hole, we watched a family of elephants arrive to drink. For hours we sat quietly as young calves slipped in the mud, wrestled playfully and struggled to master their trunks. Patient mothers steadied them as they learned, sometimes dropping to their knees just to reach the water. In their play, persistence and tenderness, I saw reflections of ourselves: learning, parenting, loving. It was a powerful reminder that we are not separate from nature, but deeply connected to it.

Travel has been part of my life for as long as I can remember, from early family road trips across the US to months spent backpacking around the world. I’ve never lost the sense of wonder that comes with discovering new places, and I love helping others turn their travel dreams into reality.
CHERISHED MEMORY:
There are so many moments that stand out: a teenage gorilla sitting on my foot during a trek in Rwanda; watching lions bring down a buffalo in the Okavango; and playing with baby elephants in Tsavo. These experiences are reminders of just how diverse and extraordinary Africa can be.

ABOUT:
Growing up in a multicultural household that embraced adventure set me on a lifelong path of exploration. Whether living abroad or hopping on a plane to somewhere new, I’m always drawn to what lies just beyond the horizon.
CHERISHED MEMORY:
Driving along the Chobe floodplains at sunset, the sky ignited into the most vivid shades of magenta. A lone fisherman paddling past as giraffes traversed by in perfect silhouette. Reflected in the water, the scene was one of the most beautiful sights I’ve ever seen.

ABOUT:
Exploring off-the-beaten path and discovering the quieter corners of the world has always fascinated me. You never know who you’ll meet or the stories they’ll share. Growing up, my family loved heading to unexpected places, believing there’s magic everywhere: you just have to be willing to look for it.
CHERISHED MEMORY:
As a child, I dreamed of visiting the ancient temples of Egypt. When I eventually had the opportunity, I found myself standing in the stillness of Edfu, awed by the intricate carvings that have endured for thousands of years. It’s a place I hope I’ll return to again and again, each visit offering something new to savor.

ABOUT:
My grandparents were adventurous travellers who always spoke passionately about their time in Africa. From a young age, I was captivated by the continent’s beauty, its people, and its wildlife. After my first visit, I was hooked, I’d officially caught the Africa bug. It’s become my favourite place on earth.
CHERISHED MEMORY:
Too many moments to count, but a few stand out, like staring into the eyes of a Silverback gorilla just meters away in Rwanda; watching the wildebeest herds surge across the Grumeti River in Tanzania; witnessing wild dogs dismantle an impala in seconds in Botswana; seeing a leopard stand guard over its kill high in a Kenyan tree; walking among lemurs, towering baobabs, and surreal rock formations in Madagascar; learning from diverse cultures along the way; and absorbing the vast, cinematic landscapes of Namibia. These are just some of the memories that define my time on this magical continent.

ABOUT:
One of my favorite things in life is that feeling of deepening one’s understanding of the world and people in it. Learning about and experiencing new perspectives (big & small) is a thrill – what better way than travel!
CHERISHED MEMORY:
The reward of an extraordinary experience that results from pushing my comfort boundaries will always be my favorite. Absolute highlights include: a fascinating walking safari through the Serengeti to observe the wonder of local flora species (and cheeky baboons), feeling the chaotic natural energy from a hyena feeding frenzy, and fighting a knee-shaking fear of heights to find the utter peace of floating across the Maasai Mara in a hot air balloon at sunrise. Bonus experience: my Maasai guide stopping our vehicle and plucking an army ant from the ground to explain (and demonstrate!) how they are used by local tribes as stitches for wounds!

I began traveling at 18 and never really stopped. Each new place and culture I encounter continues to shape how I see the world and how I choose to live within it. Travel remains my greatest teacher and constant source of inspiration.
CHERISHED MEMORY:
My time in Botswana was defined by pure stillness and raw nature. In the vastness of the Okavango Delta, far from roads and crowds, wildlife encounters felt deeply immersive and completely life-changing. Being so present in that untouched landscape made the whole experience truly unforgettable.

ABOUT:
I live in Cary, North Carolina, and was born in Matanzas, Cuba. My passion for travel began at an early age and has grown into a career spanning more than 20 years in the African travel industry.. While Africa remains my greatest passion, my travels have also taken me to Mexico, Europe, South America, and the U.S. Virgin Islands. Each destination has enriched my understanding of the world.
CHERISHED MEMORY:
I took my first plane ride at the age of 12. I still remember sitting in the smoking section of the plane with my parents, looking out the window and thinking is this amazing- I’m flying. As soon as I was old enough, I booked my next flight and have not stopped traveling since. And helping others with their flight arrangements.
My fondest memory is sharing my love Africa with my children, my first safari with them seeing their delight as an impala approached the vehicle was priceless. Over the years, I have been fortunate to book thousands of flights for family, friends, and clients, helping them experience the beauty, wonder, and magic of Africa that I have come to love so deeply. It has been a privilege to share a destination that has given me so many unforgettable memories.

My passport may be light on stamps, but I’ve always believed in the inspiring magic of travel. My own journeys are only just beginning and nothing excites me more than helping others bring their dream adventures to life.
CHERISHED MEMORY:
I haven’t made it to Africa (yet) but my heart is already packed. Listening to my teammates’ stories has lit a spark and I can’t wait to experience it all for myself. Even without setting foot on the continent, I already feel connected to something genuinely special.

ABOUT:
My mom worked in travel and, thanks to her, my sister and I grew up knowing the world stretched far beyond our little corner of Oregon. She taught us from an early age that different cultures don’t just broaden your horizons, they enrich your life in ways that stay with you.
CHERISHED MEMORY:
Once, we were in Botswana and the camp we were staying at set up an open-air bed on the roof of our shelter one perfectly clear night. We were equal parts nervous and exhilarated. Above us, the stars formed a dense, shimmering blanket, impossibly close. In the distance, male lions called to one another across the darkness. It was surreal and breathtaking, the kind of moment that reminds you how wild, intimate and humbling Africa can be.
