Sunset Beach Hotel

We think Sunset Beach offers great value on Mahe! The rooms are lovely and exit onto a beautiful beach. We loved snorkeling right off the beach, the easy access to everything in Mahe and their phenomenal sunsets! The restaurant is only OK, so we recommend booking on a breakfast only basis and exploring nearby restaurants for dinner.  — Mango's view

On the northwest coast of the main island of Mahé there is a headland on which lies the Sunset Beach Hotel, offering you luxurious private accommodation and all you could wish for on a tropical island. You will discover the pure sways of white beaches, forests rich as emeralds and turquoise seas brimming with marine magic.

Sunset Beach hotel is perched atop a rocky promontory surrounded on three sides by the ocean. It incorporates Spanish villa type architecture with a pool carved out of the rocks in possibly the most beautiful setting on the island. Large model ships decorate the extremely comfortable lounge and gourmet restaurant. Recent renovations added a thatch-covered pool bar offering spectacular sunset views.

Rooms are equipped with air conditioning, telephone, ceiling fans, television, hair dryer and safe, and either balcony or patio. The private bathroom has both shower and bathtub.

There is occasional live entertainment in the evenings. Overall, though, the Sunset Beach has a peaceful air of romantic seclusion. Sunset Beach Hotels gourmet restaurant is famous for its Creole cuisine, seafood and superb steaks. For those looking for a little nightlife, a wide choice of restaurants and entertainment is just a short drive down the coast at Beau Vallon Bay.

The sheltered bay is ideal for swimming, snorkeling and water sports. The resort also arranges scuba diving, game fishing and island excursions.
