Royal Palm is a gorgeous resort with the best location in Mauritius. Every piece of food we put into our mouths was delicious. The Pimms cocktail was an art form. The powdery white-sand beach fulfills its reputation as the best on the island and is a joyous respite. Grand Bay is at your doorstep should you want to venture out. It's lovely.
Two negative elements are the service and laundry. They have taken their service so far over the top that we were uncomfortable at moments. I can carry my plate from the buffet back to my table thank you. Sadly this detracts from the overall experience a bit.
And the shocker: we paid $250 to get 8 items of clothing washed.
