Tucked away on an unspoiled island in the Indian Ocean, The Funzi Keys unique appeal is its luxurious seclusion and beautiful natural scenery. Surrounded by water and superbly located on a west-facing beach with glorious views of the African sunset, this remote and exclusive hideaway is the perfect place to escape from the outside world in style.

Accommodations consist of nine spacious cottages set along the high-water line and constructed of stone and thatch with large netted windows open to the balmy sea breezes. Each of the individually designed rooms has a hand carved king-sized four-poster bed and is furnished with local wooden artifacts and colorful fabrics plus a Jacuzzi with spectacular sea view! All cottages are provided with fans, safes and beach accessories in the over-sized bathroom. In front of each cottage is a private sitting area where a campfire is lit each night and guests can enjoy a drink and watch the sun go down in total privacy.

At the heart of Funzi Keys is the informal yet stylish main building where guests can relax and enjoy refreshing drinks served from the dhow-shaped bar or sample delicious island fare featuring freshly caught seafood and locally grown fruits and vegetables in the upper-level restaurant that overlooks the water.

Life at The Funzi Keys is relaxed and many guests do little more than unwind on the wooden deck of the free-form pool with a drink while watching the local fishing dhows sail by. For more energetic guests there is sailing, creek fishing, snorkeling, windsurfing and canoeing. Perhaps take a boat trip up the Ramisi River or Funzi Creek for an unforgettable glimpse of kingfishers, crocodiles and even dolphins!
