The Chitabe concession is an excellent land based game experience even in typically off months. During rainy months, the common areas are a bit exposed to the elements. The baboons in the pool make it a cramped, but necessary shared space on hot days. The outdoor showers facing the floodplain are wonderful.

Chitabe Lediba is a very comfortable and intimate tented camp in an enormous concession that is bordered on three sides by the Moremi Game Reserve. The camp is located in a diverse area incorporating mopang woodlands, acacia, floodplains and the perennial delta, all of which provide a variety of wildlife.
Accommodation consists of five spacious and luxuriously appointed East African style tents that have en-suite facilities with flush toilet, a shower and basin with hot and cold running water. Each room is on a raised deck and has an outdoor shower as well. The room interiors are of the same standard as its sister camp, Chitabe.
There is a dining area, lounge and pub with superb views overlooking the surrounding flood plains, and a small pool. Activities consist of guided game walks, day and night game drives in open 4x4 vehicles accompanied by an experienced guide.
What makes Chitabe unique to some of the other areas in the Okavango Delta is that it contains such a variety of habitats within close proximity. A finger of perennial swamps extends into the Chitabe reserve, which is inundated by water throughout the year. The area is also dominated by seasonally flooded areas which transform much of the concession from dry floodplains into a lush oasis, when the annual flood waters meander through.
This variety of habitat, which ranges from the classic Okavango scenery with Illala Palms dotting the landscape, to open savannahs and acacia woodlands, gives rise to a surprising diversity of species, which allows Chitabe to offer guests a wide variety of game viewing and birding experiences. Elephant, Lion, Leopard, Cheetah, Reedbuck, Buffalo, Giraffe, Impala, Kudu and Hippo are among the major game attractions of the area. Wild dogs occur in the area as well.
