KenyaItineraries that include Kenya | Properties in Kenya Kenya is the quintessential land of the safari. Kenya is a beautiful and diverse region with many cultural, historical and natural attractions. One of Kenya's greatest attractions is the annual wildebeest migration between Serengeti National Park in Tanzania and Masai Mara National Reserve in Kenya. The wildlife areas are world famous and the focus of most Kenyan safaris - traveling to parks like the Maasai Mara, Amboseli, Samburu, Meru and Lake Nakuru. Amboseli National Park enjoys excellent populations of elephant and views of Mt. Kilimanjaro in the distance. Samburu and Meru are in the Northern highlands where you can see the reticulated giraffe, Grevy's zebra, gerenuk and beisa oryx. Our trips to Kenya stay at small lodges in remote areas of the park where travelers can get away from others and experience Africa as Hemingway and Roosevelt did. Due in part to the history of the safari and this popular destination, Kenya has a well-developed tourism industry making flights and lodges affordable and impressive. The Kenyan coast can be a relaxing end to a wildlife safari. Regional flights can take you to Zanzibar, Lamu, Malindi and Kiwayu. Fresh seafood, white sand beaches and lazy days abound. |
