Day 1

Windhoek, Namibia

Welcome to Africa! Your flight arrives at Windhoek International Airport, you will make your way to the Budget counter to pick up your rental car, where you begin a 45 minute self drive to your hotel.

This modern, up-market guesthouse consists of 6 luxurious en-suite double rooms and a fully equipped bathroom.

Days 2 — 4

Otjiwarongo, Namibia

This morning you can stock up on supplies before departing North for a 3 hour self drive to Otjiwarongo.

Frans Indongo Lodge exudes the sense for life of northern Namibia's people in a most charming way. The complex is modeled on traditional Ovambo homesteads: palisades of tall pointed stakes embrace the lodge and convey a feeling of the warmth and security of home right in the middle of the African bush.

You have the next 2 days to visit the Cheetah Conservation Fund Research Center, the Rare and Endangered Species Trust and the OvaHerero cultural center as you are interested.

Days 5 & 6

Etosha National Park, Namibia

Today you have a 3 hour drive to Etosha National Park for your stay at Mushara Lodge.

Offering comfortable accommodation and convenient facilities, the Mushara Lodge provides you with all of the quality amenities to make your stay a memorable one. The lodge consists of ten spacious chalets, one family unit and two single rooms. All of the accommodation units are equipped with modern amenities.

Days 7 & 8

Etosha National Park, Namibia

You have approximately a 2 hour self drive through the park to Okaukuejo Rest Camp.

Okaukeujo was the first rest camp opened to tourists and a special attraction of the camp is the waterhole just outside the perimeter. This is a true theater of Africa. An incredible array of animals come to drink at the permanent water hole throughout an African night. You can sit with a cup of hot chocolate or glass of wine and see what develops. Guests have seen black rhino, many lions and even elephants mating here.

Days 9 — 11

Damaraland, Namibia

This morning you have a 5 hour self drive from Etosha to Damaraland.

Located in the Damaraland area, this camp offers great luxury accommodations in a truly rugged African setting. Don't miss the nature drives appreciating the spectacular views and desert scenery.

Days 12 — 14

Omaruru, Namibia

Today you continue on your 3 hour self drive portion of your trip to Omaruru.

Days 15 — 17

Swakopmund, Namibia

This morning you have another 3 hour drive to your next destination, Atlantic Villa Guesthouse.

Atlantic Villa Guesthouse is situated approximately 6km north of Swakopmund at Vogelstrand. This area is quieter than staying in the centre of town and so will appeal to those who want to relax in a peaceful environment. The views of the Altantic ocean are amazing!

Days 18 & 19

Namib Desert, Namibia

Today after breakfast you continue on from Swakopmund to Namib Desert to Desert Homestead Lodge.

The Desert Homestead offers simple but stylish accommodation in thatched chalets which were designed with the fragile beauty of this remarkable environment in mind. The lodge is situated approximately 32 kilometers from Sesriem, the gateway to Sossusvlei.

On the following day you depart the lodge for a sleep out ride under the stars.

Days 20 — 22

Sossusvlei, Namibia

At your leisure, you will pop over to your next camp Kulala Desert Lodge.

Set in the second largest desert in the world, the Namib Desert lays this oasis where guests enjoy game drives to the spectacular dunes and sleep under the stars from private star gazing platforms on sultry summer nights.

Day 22

Windhoek, Namibia

Today you you have a 7 hour drive back to Windhoek for your overnight at Elegant Guesthouse.

This modern, up-market guesthouse consists of 6 luxurious en-suite double rooms and a fully equipped bathroom.

Days 23 — 25

Hwange National Park, Zimbabwe

After breakfast & checkout you self drive to Windhoek Airport to drop off your rental, before meeting your scheduled flight to Victoria Falls. Meet your charter pilot in the arrivals area to catch your shared charter into camp.

Little Makalolo is one of the only camps within Hwange National Park. The area is ecologically diverse, ensuring a varied food "pantry," which feeds great numbers of animals for game viewing year round.

Days 26 & 27

Livingstone, Zambia

Today after early morning game activities you have shared charter back to Victoria Falls Airport. Your driver will meet you in arrivals and transfer you to Bushfront Lodge in Livingstone.

The Bushfront Lodge is a quiet retreat set in lush, bird filled African woodland offering 12 twin bedded chalets all cooled by thatch. It's just off the main road between Livingstone Town and the falls and easily accessible by car.

Days 28 & 29

Chobe National Park, Botswana

This morning you depart Bushfront Lodge, making your way to the banks of the Chobe River for your stay at Chobe Safari Lodge.

The Chobe Safari Lodge is beautifully sited on the banks of The Chobe River with vervit monkeys, troops of banded mongoose and resident wart hogs in the lawns. Highlights include the intense elephant populations of the park and afternoon boat cruises on the Chobe River.

Days 30 & 31

Kalahari Desert, Botswana

After watching a spectacular sunrise, you depart Chobe for a several hour drive to Planet Baboab.

Arrive at the Planet Baobab in the Kalahari Desert, the baobab capital of the world! A traditionally styled mud Kalanga and Bushmen grass hut village shaded by giant baobab trees whose average age is 4,000 years old!

Days 32 — 34

Linyanti Wetlands, Botswana

Today after breakfast you have a road transfer to Maun, where you to meet your shared charter to the Selinda Canoe Trail.

The high waters flowing through northern Botswana in 2009 will cause the Selinda Spillway to flood like it has not flowed for nearly three decades and will enable adventurers the opportunity to experience a rare first.

Day 35

Selinda Reserve, Botswana

As you approach the end of the Spillway, you will meet your guide for the drive to your camp for the night.

Day 36

Johannesburg, South Africa

After an early morning breakfast have a shared charter back to Maun to meet your scheduled flight to Johannesburg for your overnight at the Garden Court.

Day 37

Depart

After spending a glorious month in Africa, its time to pack up your belongings and make way for your Asia. You have a quick shuttle back to OR Tambo Intl. Airport to meet your international connection.
